An Open Letter to Senator Scott Brown
Shame on you, Senator Brown. On becoming a US Senator, you swore a solemn oath to uphold the Constitution. How then can you justify voting for a National Defense Authorization Act which contains provisions that allow indefinite military detention of US citizens on US soil? Detention without charges, representation, or trial is unconstitutional and un-American. In fact, it borders on the treasonous! It is an insult to the men and women of our military who have put their lives on the line to protect our way of life.
Senator Brown, we elected you to protect the rights of the citizens of Massachusetts. If the President does his job and vetoes this unconstitutional bill, I urge you to cross party lines and support the Constitution of the United States.
